What is the place that contemporary society reserves for the archives that bear witness to its atrocities? What references identify that place? What kind of social and existential experience arises from that place?
This II International Conference on documentation and political violence convenes to analyze the place in which the archives that register contemporary episodes of massive political violence perpetrated by States sit in contemporary societies. With this activiy we seek to promote dialogue and collaboration between the academic community, human rights activists and advocates, political leaders, and civil society organizations concerned with situating the archives of State violence in the place that societies requires to face these atrocities and move towards democratic consolidation.
