Vikki Bell talks about her forth-coming chapter that considers the different photographs that have appeared at the site of the infamous detention centre, the ESMA, now a site of memory and human rights, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Talking with Cecilia Sosa, Vikki gives us a taste of the concerns she addresses in the chapter, discussing the way that despite the problems of representation of past atrocities, images have appeared. In particular she considers the use of trial footage in the Museum of Memory and the decision to mount a temporary exhibition of art photographs there, the very building where the kidnapped and disappeared were held.
